16 total classes (twice per week)
Open to anyone 16 years or older - No experience necessary
Class tuition: $495.00
A $295.00 deposit is required to reserve your seat.
The $200.00 balance is due no later than March 1, 2026

In Intro to Improv, you’ll practice the essentials such as “yes-and,” active listening, ensemble support, and quick thinking through easy games and scene play. Along the way, you’ll build confidence, sharpen instincts, and connect more authentically, both on stage and off. This class is designed for absolute beginners and actors looking to loosen up their craft. Expect movement, collaboration, and lots of encouragement. Come as you are; leave with practical tools, fresh perspectives, and a stronger sense of play.

People have said that these classes are a transformative experience of self-discovery, and they’re right. I just finished Meisner I with Robb, and the class (and classroom environment) really helped with my self-confidence and my faith in my abilities as an actor, but it also helped me feel more in touch with myself and helped me make connections with my talented peers. It was a truly wonderful experience getting to meet and work with so many other creative individuals, and Robb is a very special and insightful teacher. I feel honored to have been able to be able to work with and learn from him; the lessons, discussions, and instruction from Robb are truly priceless. Whether you want to be an actor or not, I would 100% recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn something about themselves, feels disconnected from themselves or is going through a hard time, or who wants to explore their creativity and their heart. You will learn and experience things that will stick with you forever and change your outlook on life.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Meisner technique, some of the lessons/classwork may seem strange or confusing, but every little tool you learn truly makes a difference and helps you to be able to tap into an authentic “performance” that feels more like an experience, as well as connect to your character, the scene, and your scene partners. It all adds up, and produces real results—although they will be different for everyone. They want you to act in your own way, and they guide you in how to do that effectively. I had zero acting experience before taking the Meisner program here. In fact, I only signed up because I thought being … read more less self-conscious and learning to listen would help me in my career at an engineering firm. I was always nervous in new situations -- especially social situations -- and had real trouble connecting with people, and that was limiting me in my job and my life.
After completing the Master Meisner program, I am fundamentally not the same person as I was when I started. Being in the performing arts was never something I considered for myself, but now I'm left wondering if I made the right career choice!
The instructors are some of the most caring and people I have ever met. The program they have devised sometimes seems strange an nonsensical, but believe me when I say that you must trust the process! Everything is done for a reason, and they know that you will "get it" when the time is right.
Your success in this program is based on how much effort you put in. Being nervous every day you come to class is a good way to know that you're on the right track.
The community they have developed around this school is second to none, so make sure to take the time to get to know the people and your classmates. Acting -- and just being human! -- is not a solo effort. Your classmates will help you and inspire you more than you can ever know.
If you have never been an actor before, sign up for classes. If you have been acting for years, sign up for classes. If you just want to be a better you, sign up for classes; you might be surprised, as I was, about how this school will change you!
