Foundation II


This 12 week Foundation II class reinforces the concepts learned in Foundation I and works to prepare the artist for the demands of scene work.

Through a continuation of a series of exercises which are progressive and become more complex each week, the actor begins to connect to what is deeply meaningful to them personally and gains tools to bring those truthful meanings into their work.

Exploration and discovery of personal meaning is the key to truthful acting and this class will unlock the door to a rich inner world of wishful thinking, daydreaming and fantasy that can then be applied to any demand placed upon the actor in their work.

Because of the personal nature of this work, the student's privacy and emotional safety are handled with the utmost care and respect. Students will NEVER be asked to share their preparations with anyone and are in fact discouraged from doing so.

This class is for those who have successfully completed Foundation I and once again, the importance of attendance cannot be overstated. Generally, students who miss more than 3 classes cannot move forward.

A lab component will be available for students to practice their skills.

HOMEWORK WILL BE REQUIRED.
